Spring is always a good time to clean clutter out of closets, the basement, or garage. Have you ever wondered if your great-grandmother’s rocking chair is just a piece of old furniture or a real antique? Is the brooch that you found at the yard sale last summer costume jewelry or a collectible? Here is your opportunity to find out if these items are actually antiques or collectibles.
Verbal assessments will be given by John Mickinak on a variety of objects. Mr. Mickinak has over 30 years of experience as an antiques dealer and estate appraiser. The appraisal rate for one piece is $10, and the 2nd and 3rd items cost an additional $5 each; there is a 3-item-limit.
Appointments are recommended; Call 724-532-1935 x 210. Walk-ins are welcome, but will be seen after the scheduled appraisals on a first-come basis. Watching the variety of items being assessed while one waits for the appraisal of their object is an interesting and educational experience.
